This obviously means that you will need to have one or more antennas that work for the bands you plan to operate.&nbsp; Simple linked dipoles work great for multiple bands, and my favorite, a random wire is awesome, as long as you have a good antenna tuner to go with it.&nbsp; If you are using SSB, have the operator that is spotted call CQ and answer first, before saying \u201c73\u201d, say \u201cstandby for second operator\u201d, then pass the mic.&nbsp; Keeping to this pattern works well and other chasing stations will hear what you are doing and be ready.&nbsp; (which means \u201cwait\u201d).&nbsp; For example, AS AS here is Tom.&nbsp; This can be very effective for chasers that know you but unexpected by other chasers.&nbsp; If you can, have the other operator spot separately.&nbsp;
