It&#8217;s up hill both ways.<\/p>\n\n<p>I did this in February, when it was supposed to be cool in preparation and training for a Grand Canyon hike.  The trail is heavily trafficked and no issue.  It can be slippery when crossing the granite slabs with sand on them, I went down a couple of times.<\/p>\n\n<p>I&#8217;m smiling in the picture to the right because I didn&#8217;t know what was coming.  I had no issues with the hike up but while I was playing radio, the valve on my water tube was open, draining my water bladder of it&#8217;s contents.  I ran out of water half way back and we had a heat wave pass through.  I was miserable.  I was amazed at how many people do that hike with a small sports bottle.  <\/p>\n\n<p>I would NOT recommend this summit in the heat.
