This use to be a simple driveup with park, setup activate, but the road is deteriorating.<\/p><p><br><\/p><p>  We came from from Hwy 74 and noticed that the road is worse than last year. 6S13 continues to get worse and I suggest a good clearance vehicle. I might make it in my Highlander but wouldn&#8217;t want to. We were using Ted&#8217;s tricked out Land Cruiser with 35&#8243; tires, and lots of clearance.<br><br>There are some awesome views from the summit and the activation zone is huge, allowing enough space for multiple opps.<br><br>As of 12\/16\/2025, the turn off to Thomas Mountain Lookout road REQUIRED an overlanding vehicle.
