The summit included a large, flat area with trees and with a commercial antenna structure.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cell service: Briefly 1-bar T-mobile service half way up to the summit<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Other summits in the area: W6\/SS-285 Bald Mountain, W6\/SS-277 9470, W6\/SS-298 9060<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Thursday, July 17, 2025. \u00a0For this trip we camped at Troy Meadows Campground, a large primitive campground with no potable water, shower, electricity, nor dump station.   They did have clean pit toilets.  It was a 45 min drive from our campsite to the trailhead.  The trailhead parking lot had a view of Mount Whitney.  This was an enjoyable, forested hike.  Contacts were made on 146.52 MHz 2m\/FM, 20m\/CW and. 40m\/CW.
