After doing Babbitt, I followed Trosi rd that comes off of Smithneck up and around near Land Peak (which I didn't have time to hike, and over to Sardine.  This route is 2wd capable with medium clearance. 

The road to the lookout goes into the AZ before you get to the gate.  The gate was closed, but no problem, I pulled out sparky, a vertical antenna, and a chair, and walked the .25mi to the top and setup.  I spotted SOTA and POTA by accident and had the biggest 20m CW pileup of my life.  The chasers were hungry my friends.

I headed back down the road and took Henness Pass back to 89 rather than go all the way back to I80.  It was a pretty trip, requiring medium clearance in 2wd.

The route below takes you from the road coming off of Sardine back to the 89 starting from 39.51137, -120.17687 on Henness Pass Road..
