This peak is accessed using Henness Pass Road, and is accessible using a 2wd low clearance vehicle.  When you take the turn off, if you have a medium clearance vehicle, you can save about 0.3 mi by driving up to the intersection.  You don't have to do this.  I had no issue getting there with my Outback.

I stopped here on the way back from Lacey Benchmark farther up the road.  Road condition could change depending on runoff from this winter and rains.

I used a track provided by Jeff, KC6X, which is attached below.  This is a steep forrest  bushwhack for 2.4 mi, and 847' of gain.  This hike has three main pitches.  The first will make you question your life choices, at about 1,000 ft gain per mi (it's about .3 mi).  Once there, the hike is a lot more pleasant.  If it were easy, we'd call it POTA.

It was blowing like mad when I was up top, but I managed to work ZL1BYZ from my KX3 to his KX3 summit to summit.  That's always a lot of fun.

The views off the top are pretty epic.

There are two other summits from Henness Pass rd if you'd like to combine them for some extra points.

Track I followed below:

All driving referenced for this trip was done with Margaret, my Subaru OBW.

Road conditions can change after winter snow melt and heavy rains so be warned.
