Combs Peak, located NE of Warner Springs is a pretty simple hike up the PCT from where it crosses Lost Valley Rd.  The last 0.3 mi is via a steep use trail to the top.  The summit has great views and plenty of room for a couple of operators.  I’ve had limited success with VHF from here.  I’ve done this hike many times and have always enjoyed it.
