Take Hwy 38 to Angeles Oaks, then turn onto the dirt road at Thomas Hunting Grounds Rd. The gate was open and a sedan can make the 1.4 mi drive to the trailhead. The 0.7 mi hike to the summit was steep. Once in the activation zone, don't be alarmed to see huge boulders looking to the summit. There was a short section of decomposed granite getting to the top, but once past all of this the summit opened up with a nice view of San Bernadino Valley below.
