About 30 miles past Arnold on CA-4 travelling East look for the Hells Kitchen Overlook. Forest Route 7N09 is just around the bend on the left. Forest Rte 7N09 is a dirt road, but driveable.

Follow 7N09 to the first left and then continue for less than a mile and park after the cattle guard. The trail is a 4WD track with a very steep, rough beginning, but once you get up the first rise it's an easy walk to Bailey Ridge. The route heads back to the West along the ridgetop for a little over 2 miles. If you're thinking of 4 wheeling it be aware that there can be trees across the road. We saw 3 trees down on our walk.

Bailey Ridge is in US-4468 Stanislaus National Forest, so it's good for a POTA activation also.
