Thankfully, I spoke to Derek before I did this summit.  He not only gave me the correct route (attached), but also helped me chart out two more summits to do on the way back to camp.  The starting point indicates the turn off off of Smithneck Road.  You'll drive for 6 miles to get to the lookout tower.  It's a bit rough, and although the lookout operator said she could get her small 2wd up there, I'd recommend minimum 2wd with medium clearance.  BTW, she drives a Tacoma now.

The AZ is very big with all kinds of options.  The views are awesome and I had a lot of fun.  On the way back to camp, Derek had me chart a route to two more summits in a loop and then a shortcut back to the 89. 

I'll head back to Smithneck, head south and take Trosi Canyon up to Land Peak hike start, and then over to a driveup called Sardine (NS-160) if I have time.
