Friday, January 24, 2025. Did this summit as part of a 3-summit day. We parked in a lot adjacent to a camp. The Activation Zone (AZ) is can be found along the length of the dirt trail to the south of the camp buildings. While there we had a most amazing Summit-to-Summit (S2S) with Mark KD7DTS and Ara N6ARA on Verdugo Peak (not line-of-sight). In order to reach us, they used a metal fence as a back-reflector and a HT antenna as a director. Mark emailed me afterwards saying: "So… my final solution to get some diffracted energy to you over the top of those peaks was: A metal reflector, an 5/8 whip as the driven element, and a handheld 1/4 whip repurposed as a director to make a hobo’s version of a 3el yago running 2.5W. "
