Friday, August 1, 2025.  We did this summit on our way to the August 2025 SOTAFest at Tanglewood Group Campground. From Rim of the World Hwy 38 we entered Cloudland Truck Trail at 34.22457, -117.29962, driving south.  We drove 1.4 mi on the access road, parked, then hiked 0.4 mi to the summit. CalTopo and GAIAGps show this summit to be on government land, but ATT has a facility at the summit, and a gate which they lock at Hwy 38. As the gate was open, we drove up. This summit might best be done by hike or mountain bike in order to avoid getting your vehicle locked inside the summit access road.
