Hwy 2 is currently closed at Islip Saddle, but may open in 2026. All road construction work appears to have been completed. We parked at Islip Saddle and took mountain bikes to the Maintenance Building at Dawson Saddle. It is a 10.8 mi RT ride from Islip Parking lot to the trailhead with an 1661 ft ascent.
