If you are able to get to the starting point as noted, this is an easy hike and quite pleasant until you get to the final .25 miles, which is pretty much strait up as shown on the elevation image to the right. It's possible that the road to this point could be closed, requiring you to add another 3 miles to your expedition.
This summit has good view angle into San Diego so you should be able to activate via VHF.
Check your charts to avoid private land.
