This summit is on private property so please be respectful. I did not open any gates or see any No Trespassing signs the entire route. Did not see any structures. Beautiful area. Depending on how far you can drive this can be as simple as a five to 10 minute hike. If you decide to park on Hwy 36 it is only about 2 miles. Very nice area. My route is posted on Peakbagger and Sotamaps. Lots of cedars. The summit has great view of Lassen Peak and surrounding areas. Great summit to set up on with plenty of room and a few scattered trees. I drove about 1.6 miles in to where I encountered a down tree. It was small but I knew I was close enough for a short hike. Instead of continuing down the road I started up the slope towards the first bump before the summit. I deleted this part from my GPS track since it is not necessary to go that route unless you want to. Just continue up the road to the small saddle where you leave the road and head up to the summit. From the saddle it's only 5 or 10 minutes. I had success on 20 and 40 meters with my newbie CW skills and one SSB contact.
