This was an enjoyable hike. We followed a very wide fire road to within 80 ft of the peak. There was a fire crew with some massive equipment widening the road by removing vegetation on the side of the road. The road curved around the summit, thus avoiding a prolonged steep climb. We hiked, but the road was suitable for a mountain bike. We saw two bikes pass us today.
