This is a simple desert walk with a tiny bit of bushwhack depending on how you go. The round trip is .5 mi and 250 ft of gain to the top. The actual gain didn’t get recorded and the charts don’t account for the fact that you have to go through a ravine. Because of the limited growth, we weren’t really having to crash brush.
The views to the NW from the parking area were awesome with San Gorgonio Mountain in the distance. This was our second summit of the day (after doing W6/SD-044) and was very simple.
This was my first time visiting Joshua Tree National Park and it well worth the visit given that these cactus trees only grow in this area and the views were awesome!
