20Feb2026. A cold morning with ice on the trail, but had success with the 2m/Weak signal challenge. The trail has good footing.

08Apr2025. We enjoyed the hike - all except for the rattlesnake encounter. We didn't actually see the snake, but as walked past a bush on the downhill descent, a very loud rattle began, letting us know we were too close. I was further down the trail, being very careful on the steep, slippery slope. Suddenly I heard the snake simultaneously with Tom behind me running down the trail to get away. Glad there was no incident.
