Easy access to this peak from US 395 at the Loyalton Hwy 70 offramp, Halleluiah Junction. Likely need a high clearance vehicle. I was in an AWD Nissan Rogue. After exiting head east to wards the service station then turn north on Larder Way. After the cattle guard turn right on dirt road. After 3/4 mile trun on right and follow the road about 1/2 mile towards the base of the mountain.

I stopped short of the large flat area to park and off the side of the road. The summit is in front of you. Can't quite see the true summit but it is just out of view. Pick you route. Steep in places but good footing. Some of the sandy areas are a little slippery but all in all it's just a steep short climb.

For me it was about an hour and a half up and an hour down. Plenty of room on the summit to set up a long wire.

There are three poles near the summit. One looks like it is under construction with a small empty weatherproof box with noting in it yet.

I set up for 40m SSB and CW. Time for 15 contacts.
