Thursday, July 17, 2025. For this trip we camped at Troy Meadows Campground, a large primitive campground with no potable water, shower, electricity, nor dump station. They did have clean pit toilets. It was a 45 min drive from our campsite to the trailhead. The trailhead parking lot had a view of Mount Whitney. This was an enjoyable, forested hike. Contacts were made on 146.52 MHz 2m/FM, 20m/CW and. 40m/CW. We spotted using a Garmin InReach and SOTAMAT.
